Dieses weist gleich mehrere Besonderheiten auf, denn es ist ein in den neuen Bundesl\u00e4ndern einzigartiger Gedenk- und Lernort. Die Besonderheit liegt in der unterschiedlichen kulturellen Nutzung eines historisch erhaltenen Gef\u00e4ngnisbaus, der eigentlich abgerissen werden sollte und eines modernen Kubus\u2018, die zwei verschiedene geschichtliche Phasen verarbeiten. <\/p>\n<p>Die Jury \u00fcberzeugte die Verbindung zweier Denkm\u00e4ler in einem Geb\u00e4udekomplex, die thematisch komplement\u00e4r zueinanderstehen. Zeitzeugen und ehemaligen H\u00e4ftlinge wurden schon in einem fr\u00fchen Planungsstadium mit einbezogen. W\u00e4hrend des gesamten Projektverlaufs wurde sehr eng mit verschiedensten Interessensgruppen zusammengearbeitet.
